Some very different research notes today.

By the time I was done taking notes I'd developed a formula for the rate at which humans use volumes of time (measured in liters).

This pleases me.

how'd you export it to .gif from evernote? I'm so used to OneBloat.

The extra cheaty way. I synced it to the web, opened the illustration in a web browser and saved the 3 tiled pictures that made up the full picture. (then stuck'em together in a paint program and shrunk'em down to size)

I really need a couple of liters of time. And not the cheap stuff, either. I'm talking top-shelf, good-quality time.

Congrats, you have just changed forever my definition of "quality time".

So what you're saying is that you need at least Reposado time.

Or how about some Single Malt Islay time? Mmmmmmm, that's good time, can you detect the hint of ocean?

I totally love the diagrams too, in the a way they remind me a lot of my proto story generation sketches. The Dimensional(?) anatomy mitocondrial structure is rad, and the xyz axis wit the human, makes me think of that discussion we had re: the group that had a different take on time.

ps. Where can I get some Top Shelf Time?

I'm pretty sure none of this stuff will ever come into the story. It cannot actually be communicated to the characters, but knowing it lets me set ground rules for how people are effected by having their time eaten. It also let me build a build a formula for cost-of-services with the data-folding inter-dimensional time eater.

As for where to get top shelf time, I highly recommend Hi Time Wine. Sometimes the obvious choice is the best one. ;)

oh totally, I do the same thing. I've got (let's use the word loosely) pictures of the cities sketched out in my notebooks, but neither the reader or the MC ever really sees them.... just something to cement myself in the process.
